Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) were used during building construction for many years. Many school buildings throughout the United States continue to have ACM in place. Asbestos is a known carcinogen and is regulated by Federal and State regulatory agencies. Chris will explain the various applications of asbestos as well as common locations, how to identify their conditions, how to manage them in‐place under an asbestos management plan and operations & maintenance plan, and health effects related to asbestos exposure.
