Myla Kelly, Project Coordinator (406) 994-6948 myla.kelly@montana.edu AgriTech  Landscape  Agricultural  Energy  Management  Plan  Survey  Summary  February  12,  2014    In  early  January,  2014  an  electronic  survey  was  sent  to  previous  customers  of  AgriTech  Consulting  to  evaluate  their  responses  to  the  Agricultural  Energy  Management  Plan  process  and  results.      All  responses  were  completely  anonymous.    As  with  any  survey,  responses  were  somewhat  limited.    Based  on  the  response  rate,  additional  comments  from  AgriTech  Staff  have  been  incorporated  to  add  additional  evaluation  basis.        Question  1:    How  much  do  you  feel  you  have  learned  more  about  agricultural  energy  saving  practices  through  going  through  the  development  process  of  your  Landscape  Agricultural  Energy  Management  Plan  (AgEMP)?    1  –  Nothing    2  –  Not  Very  Much    3  –  Neutral    4  –  Educational    5-‐  Very  Educational    Responses  to  Question  1  ranked  50%  Neutral  and  50%  Educational.    As  with  the  remainder  of  the  questions  posed,  we  have  to  keep  in  mind  that  the  majority  of  the  participants  in  the  Ag  EMP  program  are  generally  the  leaders  in  the  field-‐  producers  that  have  already  implemented  various  energy  saving  measures,  and  are  participating  in  the  newest  NRCS  programs  already.    Question  2:    Did  you  receive  any  funding  as  a  result  of  completing  a  Landscape  Agricultural  Energy  Management  Plan  to  assist  in  implementing  the  practices  that  were  recommended  in  your  AgEMP?    Responses  to  Question  2  again  ranked  50%  “Yes”  and  50%  “No”.    As  mentioned  before,  many  producers  that  participate  in  this  process  have  already  implemented  energy  saving  measures,  and  receive  a  benchmark  plan  to  monitor  future  activities,  as  well  as  making  them  eligible  for  other  programs.
